Meet Your Soapmaker
Stephenie is the owner of Cypress Scents and is the creativity behind the products here. Cypress Scents started as a dream of learning how to make old-fashioned lye soap. Not wanting to take on a new project without knowing how to do it, she spent many years researching and planning. One day in 2011, she jumped right in and made her first batch. Thus, a deep-seated passion was born! From then on, she was officially a soapmaker.
From Cajun Country to The Bread Basket
Stephenie was born and raised in South Louisiana in “Cajun Country.” She very much loved the culture that surrounded her. In 2013, she moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family, leaving behind the only home she ever knew. In moving to Eastern Oklahoma, she was able to achieve her dream of owning a farm. In just a short amount of time, she has added horses, a donkey named Penny Pie, chickens, ducks and geese, and milk goats. Most days, you can find her out in the barnyard milking goats, brushing horses, talking to the Penny, gathering eggs and the occasional less fun task of mucking stalls.
From Our Farm to Your Home
It is not unheard of for Stephenie to milk the goats and come right in the house, strain the milk and make goat milk soap or goat milk lotion. Talk about fresh! Straight from the farm to your home!
