Love is in the air

How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day in your house? Growing up, it wasn’t a big deal. Usually my mom and dad got us something small and some candy. I loved it. It was just enough to make me feel special. I have continued that tradition with my daughter as well. My husband and I really don’t celebrate it outside of telling each other Happy Valentine’s Day and we are happy with that arrangement, although, he verifies every year that we aren’t doing gifts, just in case.

Here is a picture of me when I was little. I’m wearing a shirt that my mom got me for Valentine’s Day. I loved the Care Bears even into high school. Funny seeing me so little..so many years ago *sigh*

My husband finished up my soap room (pictures of it later!) and I have had a blast in it playing and making new soapy treats.  I made some fun Valentine’s Day Cupcake soap. The only problem is, I can’t figure out how to ship them!  They are adorable though, don’t you think?  The cupcake and icing and are both SOAP!  AND, they have a fun surprise hidden inside the icing for your little one. How fun is that? They are $5 and I can only sell them locally. I promise to figure out a way to ship in the future.

I also have gift boxes for Valentine’s Day. Your honey deserved to be pampered, don’t you think? Bath and body products last a lot longer (and are better for you) than flowers! I can even ship directly to friends, long distance love’s and children. Check out the gift box options available on my website: Gift Boxes

Love is even in the air on the farm! I have 4 goats that are pregnant and 2 are not. 1 of them is in heat right now so things are stinky (thanks to our buck!) and loud around here. I’m not letting them in the same pen together until next month though. They would be due in June if they were bred now. I’m way too busy in June to have babies due so we are holding out a little while longer. I hope they take then!

How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day as a child? How do you celebrate it now? Let me know in the comments!
